Beautiful buys: Solihull Vintage Fair

Today Emma is once again at Solihull Vintage Fair. Girls about town: shopping in Solihull

Yesterday Kate and Emma popped over to Solihull to do a spot of shopping - they really enjoyed themselves and felt like they could have spent a whole week there! As well as indulging themselves in the shops in the Touchwood Shopping Centre, they also stopped off at the Homemade Burger Co for lunch - delicious! Emma chose a classic barbecue burger with homemade chips while Kate had a chicken burger with cheese and chilli, also with chips. For pudding they picked a lemon meringue pudding with fresh cream and ice cream for Em and chocolate brownie with cream and ice cream for Katie.

Beautiful buys: our shopping gems

It's that time of the week again when we've picked up a whole host of gorgeous things we want to share with you! We've picked four new things each to share with you, some are clothing, some are beauty related and some are a little bit random but fabulous all the same!

EMMA:

 I love my new vintage boyfriend jacket! It's from my vintage shop and looks amazing with anything!

 

These new make up brushes are amazing - they're so super cute and are handbag size which is so handy. Even better - they're only £3.99 from Primark!

 

These glasses were a total bargain at £1 and I'm hoping to get loads of use out of them now the sun is finally starting to shine!

I'm in love with candles! This one is from TK Maxx, it's London Royale and costs just £7.99. The smell of cedar and sage is divine!

HARRIET:

This beautiful mac was donated to me by my nan! I was talking to her about wanting to buy a mac and two minutes later she was up her loft fetching down this beauty. It's so comfy to wear and in pristine condition considering its age, plus the lining buttons out so I'll be able to wear it right in to the summer.

She also donated this gorgeous scarf that she used to wear with the mac - I love a scarf and this one is even more special to me because it belonged to my nanny!

Not strictly a fashion or beauty buy but I picked these headphones up from Sports Direct for just £9.99. The sound quality is amazing and they look pretty cool too! I'll be wearing them all the time while I listen to my music as I walk to and from work and in the gym too.

I've also been purchasing new make up brushes, these were from Superdrug and were fairly pricey but compared to the price I'd pay for buying individual brushes I thought it was worth it. I believe they were £20 and for that you get a foundation, concealer, powder and contouring brush. They are super soft and great to use.

Put a spring in your step: new pretty purchases

If you're a regular reader of the blog you'll probably have noticed by now that we LOVE new stuff! Whether it's clothes, accessories, homeware or something else - we adore it all. Here are just a couple of new items from this week.

How beautiful is this make up bag? It's only £3.99 from H&M, what an amazing spring find - the colour and pattern are adorable and it's just the right size to pop your make up in and go!

This nail varnish is the 2true Glossywear nail polish in shade 26, we're loving the new spring nail varnish colours and this one is so bright on that it glows!

These hand wipes are the most adorable thing ever, you really don't expect wet wipes to look this good for the packaging just really sells them to you! Only 99p from H&M, they would so handy in your bag for every day use or why not take them out with you on a night out - your friends will envy you!

Pretty finds from Primark

Primark is one of those places where you can normally pick up something every time you go, their range is so enormous there's usually always a piece or two which catches your eye. We're lucky in our town we have a fairly large store and it's one of the ones that doesn't get too messy so you don't feel you're trawling through a jumble sale to get to the clothes! On our last visit it was all about the accessories and we managed to pick up three gorgeous finds!

How beautiful is this bag? Harriet picked it up for just £12. At that price you can't really argue! It's big enough to use for work and fit all the bits and pieces you need on a daily basis in it and it has both short and long straps so you can wear it any way you like. And of course, it's so pretty with the studding, zips and chain strap detailing just adding to the look!



These shoes are so Emma! They suit her style so well and at just £14 they are the perfect bargain to team up with anything for a glamorous look. The colour is just perfect as we move in to spring - the season of the pastels - but the detailing on them makes turns them from pretty to really quite special!

How adorable are these slipper socks? They are so warm and cosy looking and the pink flower on the front is simply divine. They're just £3 and so comfy to wear! The perfect thing to pop on your feet while you wait for the warmer weather to arrive.
