Wardrobe wishlist: our favourite spring looks

Well it's almost April and like any fashion lovers we've been looking forward to the month ahead and all the goodies we want to buy. Our wardrobes are set to be bursting at the seams once we've purchased everything on our wishlist! But for now we've put together a list of six of our favourite items for spring. Click on any of the descriptions to go straight to the store's website if any of them tickle your fancy!

EMMA:

Leopard print is one of those prints that will be around for the rest of our lives and I absolutely love these! They just scream 'style' right at you and I'm sure these little beauts will be on my feet all year round.

I am loving the American Apparel skirts these season, they almost look vintage and can be dressed up or down for day or night!

I absolutely love this perfume! The smell is so fresh it makes you feel as though you're walking through a field full of flowers and the fragrance lasts forever!

I really can't wait to buy this panther bag from Topshop. It's so lightweight that you can throw anything in it and at just £15 you'll really get your money's worth!

I am loving this dress from Topshop - what a find! I'll be wearing this constantly, I especially love the looseness of it which will be ideal on days you don't feel your best!

I can't wait to buy and wear this trainers, they'll just look so cool with anything you pair them with!

HARRIET:

I really want to try out this textured look on my nails and, knowing my love for Barry M, will probably end up with all four of the shades on offer in this range at the moment!

The distinctive pattern on this dress just caught my eye straightaway! It's only £30 and I think it would look amazing with a simple pair of heels, statement earrings and a big bun hairdo for going out this spring!

I'm a massive fan of a blazer and love it when it gets to the point where you can finally shed those winter clothes and get out and about with just a jacket on! The print on this little number is simply lovely.

I am in desperate need of some new heels (if 'want' means 'need'!) and my heart skipped a little beat when I saw these. Not only are they my absolute favourite print in the world but they're also a fab shape, get me to the shops now!

I already have way too many denim shirts in my wardrobe but the pattern on this is so lovely I don't think I'll be able to resist!

I'm a big fan of New Look for jeans as I think their sizing is very reliable and the quality's great for the price. I want to go a bit bolder with my jeans this seasons so these would be the perfect pair to achieve that look!

It's Fashion Friday again! If you haven't seen any of our previous posts on a Friday (if not, why not? Click here for tailored jackets and here for tailored trousers) then what we do is pick three items and then both of us choose an outfit to go with it! Today is midi skirts which are just everywhere right now - and it's easy to see why, they go with everything and can be styled up or down for any occasion!

Skirt 1:

This 90s vintage skirt is lovely and houndstooth patterns are so in right now! Emma's even added some little skulls to the pocket to add even more detail to it.

Emma's look: top - vintage / bag - vintage

This is how Harriet would style it for work: shirt - Primark / loose fitting silky jacket - H&M - lace up heels -  Primark / headscarf - vintage / Paris necklace - Claire's / owl bracelet - Primark

Skirt 2:

This lovely vintage blue skirt is so soft and looks great!

A casual day look for Emma: shoes - Topshop / rock t-shirt (tucked in) - vintage / gold bag - vintage

Harriet's styled it up for a super casual daytime look: butterfly vest top - H&M / cardi - vintage / belt - H&M / shoes - Converse / armour ring - Topshop / skull ring - Dammit Janet / add black tights too!

This is a Bazar de Christian Lacroix 90s skirt, isn't it amazing!

This is how Emma would style it to go out to a bar - top (tucked in) - Frank Usher / brown snakeskin shoes - vintage / bag - vintage

This is how Harriet would wear it for dinner with friends: Barbie top - Miss Selfridge / leather jacket - New Look / shoes - Primark / earring - River Island / headscarf - vintage / with black tights too.

Saturday Sparkles: our favourite jewellery

How amazing does this jewellery from the shop look?

Whoever made up the rule about putting your all accessories on and then taking one piece off didn't know what they were talking about! Both of us absolutely love jewellery - it just adds that something special to an outfit and can also make it feel fresh and new even if you've worn it hundreds of times just by mixing up those finishing touches. We've both picked out five of our favourite pieces (what a hard decision!) for you to have a little look at!

EMMA:

Vintage necklace
I just absolutely love this necklace, it's so unusual and really adds something special to any outfit!

Pandora bracelet
This bracelet was a gift from my daughter, I love how delicate and pretty it is and it's so easy to wear and matches with pretty much anything.

Rings
I love wearing rings and these are two amazing vintage ones which are my favourites!

Vintage watch
This amazing watch was given to me by my dad from when he was a young man so it's a very precious piece in my jewellery collection.

Earrings
I love these statement vintage earrings! They look amazing!

HARRIET:

Vintage necklace
This beaut is from Emma's shop - I absolutely love it! What really drew me to it is how long it is so it's perfect to wear with a maxi dress in the summer or equally I wear it to work with a dress or even on nights out. It's so heavy but amazing to wear and I always get comments on it wherever I go!

Owl earrings (gift)
I've got a real thing about owls and have many assorted bits and bobs featuring them. I love the way these earrings aren't too overstated but yet they're still so cute and go with pretty much anything.

H necklace (gift)
This is a real contrast to most of the jewellery I wear in that it's so dainty. It was given to me by one of my closest friends and of course I love it because it features my initial!

Skull ring - Dammit Janet
Big chunky rings are my absolute favourite jewellery to wear and it's very rare I go out without a ring or two on. I really love this skull design and it's breaking my heart a little bit that it's getting too loose on me now!

H&M marble ring
This cute and simple ring was part of a pack from H&M that I got ages ago and it's remained a firm fave of mine ever since. I just love wearing it.

We hope you've enjoyed having a peek into our jewellery boxes and we'll be back tomorrow with a very tasty post!

Wear it Wednesday: sparkly tops

There's nothing both of us love more than styling up an outfit our own unique way - so today we've picked three sparkly vintage tops (all on sale in the shop) and chosen items from our wardrobes to come up with two outfits for each - one Emma style and one Harriet style.

This little beauty is a Frank Usher and is on sale for £18.

Emma's outfit: leather mini skirt - H&M / or tailored trousers - H&M / 70s bag - vintage / shoes - Kurt Geiger.

Harriet's outfit: suede look navy leggings - H&M / necklace - vintage / shoes - Primark / nail varnish - Barry M.

This beauty is also a Frank Usher and is on sale at £45.

Emma's outfit: white leather mini skirt - vintage / gold strappy sandals - vintage / bag - vintage Kurt Geiger / glittery nail varnish (instead of jewellery) - OPI.

Harriet's outfit: jeans - H&M / chelsea boots - New Look / black and white leopard print headscarf - vintage / leather jacket - New Look / nail varnish - Barry M / ring - Primark.

This delight is (you guessed it) Frank Usher and is on sale for £55.

Emma's outfit (she's chosen to wear it as a dress but if you don't want to dare to bare why not add some black tights?): shoes - Kurt Geiger / bag - vintage / nail varnish - OPI.

Harriet's outfit (at over 5"8 she can't get away with the dress option!) : leopard print mullet skirt - H&M / platform shoes - Primark / clutch bag - Primark / bug necklace - Topshop / lipstick - Rimmel Firecracker / nail varnish - Model's Own and Rimmel

So we think it's fair to say we have completely different ideas when it comes to putting together an outfit but isn't that half the fun of fashion - you can do it your own way!
